You control your private Memory Roll.

rune.cam collects the Host account details, Event settings, Guest details, and media needed to run a private Memory Roll. Guests do not create rune.cam accounts.

Data we collect

A Host provides account and Event details. A Guest provides a display name and the image Memories they choose to add through a private link. A private browser session keeps each Guest connected to their Memories.

How we use media

We preserve each Original Media image as the canonical source and create Display Media for normal display, save, and archive actions. We use Memory Roll data to enforce Guest Capacity and Memories per Guest. A Host may hide or restore a Memory to control whether it appears in Guest browse, Live Slideshow, and ZIP archives.

Storage and access

Production media is stored in Cloudflare R2 through Active Storage, with object paths scoped to each Event. Rune stores Memory media until 12 calendar months after the Event date and during a further 30-day Host export period. Rune then deletes Original and Display Media. Event settings, account details, Guest records, purchase records, and operational logs may remain where needed to operate the service, meet legal obligations, prevent abuse, or handle support. We do not index Memory Rolls as public collections.
